Van Kam Incorporated was established in September of 1966 in Muskegon, Michigan where it still remains owned and operated by its original family. We are a family owned business that initially began by renting RV's. Soon after, becoming a full service RV dealer, adding truck caps and trailer manufacturing. Today, Van Kam has evolved into a full service dealer and manufacturer of custom built aluminum work toppers along with aluminum and steel trailers.
In the early 1970’s Van Kam began manufacturing our own truck caps and trailers. Into the late 1970’s, we began selling truck accessories becoming one of west Michigan’s first truck accessory dealers. We began selling fiberglass Truck Toppers in 1979 and eventually were able to add Leer Fiberglass Toppers in 1995. Leer is Truck Accessory Group's (TAG) premium brand.
Van Kam still includes its original roots selling RV and camping supplies. We are a dealer of truck caps, truck accessories, and cargo trailers and a manufacturer of their own custom built aluminum work toppers, utility trailers, and snowmobile/ATV trailers. We are always changing the way we manufacture our premium aluminum toppers and utility trailers, always trying to fit the needs of their customers.
